The Nexus One is an inspiring phone.
If you are sitting on the side lines about which phone to pickup, go get a Nexus One. Tech. wise its way ahead of its time. The Android OS is actively being developed and you’ll continue to find your experiece improving with every new software update. From what I get JIT compiling has not yet been enabled on the OS by default and when that is done you’ll see a clear speed increase in...

Socialwok, Friendfeed for Google Apps
People like to label us as the Friendfeed for Google Apps. For the less inclined a “Facebook for Google Apps” will do just fine. In any case we were in the area and decided to visit the old Friendfeed offices. They probably moved to the Facebook buildings since their acquisition. We also ran into the office of the popular iPhone app Evernote. See and download the full gallery on...
Red Rock Coffee, Mountain View
This is a beautiful little (Not For Profit) coffee shop at the corner or Villa and Castro in Mountain View. The cost of a freshly brewed cup is only around a couple dollars. The coffee is bought straight from the growers and the entire shop which is owned by a church is run in a not for profit manner. Free wifi, ample seating, tons of plug points and aromatic and tasty coffee make this a...

An old OpenBSD hackathon
No I’ve never been for one of these but I would sure like to some day. For some reason I had these pictures of Theo and some of the other OpenBSD guys a hackton at Theo’s place. The Oqo also runs OpenBSD sorry to hear about the company behind that going under. For as long as I can remember I’ve had plans to make OpenBSD my core OS but with the newer hardware out there and the...

My old workspace, thats “Mouse” the cat. From the books it looks like I might have been busy with some Symbian development. I don’t touch the stuff anymore. Zimbabwean dollar
The Zimbabwe government redenominated the ZWD again on February 2, 2009 at a rate of 1,000,000,000,000 old ZWD to 1 new ZWD.
Are they kidding, this is like a curely joke on the people of that country. It might make more sense to sell the money as scrap paper and the melt the coins for scrap metal. The arbitrage profit might even make that a viable business.
The way to gain a good reputation, is to endeavor to be what you desire to...

Where did the past few months go ?
The past few months have been quite busy. the world has changed so much in just a few months. Wonder what this year will bring forth. The new Kindle is interesting, still missing wifi though.
